Summary
(00:00-26:20) – Query & Company opens on a Friday with Jake Query and producer Eddie Garrison touching on last night’s NFL game and their belief in Tyler Warren to become a premiere tight end in the league. NFL Insider Jordan Schultz joins Jake Query to discuss his one-on-one interview with Daniel Jones, accesses if Jones got a fair shake in New York and if he will get a fair shake in Indianapolis, believes that the Colts are further along in team chemistry with Jones than the organization thought they would be, and states that he hasn’t seen Jones this confident entering a season in a long time.
(26:20-35:22) – Last night Jake proposed a question on Twitter. He asks Eddie that very same question and then the two get into a discussion as to which NFL teams would make them the most money.
(35:22-45:57) – The first hour of the show concludes with Jake and Eddie discussing the Indiana Fever’s decision to bring Caitlin Clark back this season.
(45:57-1:15:47) – The only undrafted rookie free agent to make the Indianapolis Colts roster this season was Johnathan Edwards. He joins the show to talk about his journey from being overlooked in St. Louis as a recruit, what Curt Mallory meant to him during his time at Indiana State, reveals when he started feeling like he belonged in the NFL during training camp, and admits that he wouldn’t have had it any other way on his path to the NFL. Indiana Fever Head Coach Stephanie White makes her weekly appearance on Query & Company and starts her conversation with Jake Query about the decision to not bring Caitlin Clark back this season. She states that the decision was not impacted by the unavailability of some of the other players on the roster and provides the former players perspective on not being able to be out on the floor for most of a season.
(1:15:47-1:20:52) – Jake and Eddie touch on their conversation with Johnathan Edwards because of how cool his story is and just how grateful he sounded about this opportunity.
(1:20:52-1:33:22) – Kyle Neddenriep from the IndyStar concludes the second hour of the program by discussing some of the notable games from week two of the high school football season, preview the slate of games that are being played around the state tonight, and highlights some players that have stood out early in the season.
(1:33:22-1:54:36) – The Fan’s Kevin Bowen kicks off the final hour of the show by sharing some of his thoughts ahead of the season opener for the Colts against the Dolphins. He shares some comments from Shane Steichen that were made today, his thoughts on Notre Dame’s loss last week to the Miami Hurricanes and discusses the Max Bowen weekly pick.
(1:54:36-2:03:02) – Every Friday at 2:30pm, Jake Query shares a Good For The Heart story sponsored by Franciscan Health. Today’s story that Jake shares is about two guys in Indianapolis named Doug.
(2:03:02-2:13:56) – Today’s show closes out with JMV joining Jake from Taylor’s Pub in Nora after Jake and Eddie predict winners for all the week one NFL games. Finally, Jake and Eddie will share their thoughts on the Colts vs Dolphins game!
