Summary
(00:00-22:12) – Query & Company opens on a Victory Monday with Jake Query, Jimmy Cook, and producer Eddie Garrison sharing some of their thoughts on the Colts win. Jake compares Anthony Richardson to one of the characters in Ted Lasso and they focus on the offensive struggles the Colts had in the passing department yesterday.
(22:12-31:42) – After focusing on Anthony Richardson’s performance in the opening segment of the show, they wonder how much of an impact Jonathan Taylor’s absence has on Richardson. They dive into how similar the gameplan was for the Miami Dolphins and Indianapolis Colts.
(31:42-39:11) – Hour number one concludes with Jake asking Eddie to share what he noticed yesterday that the Miami Dolphins did yesterday against Josh Downs. Additionally, they take two calls to conclude the segment where Jake and Jimmy are asking why the Colts are sending Downs out for punt returns and how the Colts need to get back to the play action pass.
(39:11-1:03:03) – The Dean, Mike Chappell, from CBS4 and FOX59 joins the program to evaluate Jake’s opinion that a college football game experience has surpassed experiencing an NFL game, examine how the Colts offense operated yesterday in Anthony Richardson’s return, believes that it is way too early to start dumping on Adonai Mitchell because the Colts offense will need him soon when factoring in the upcoming schedule, and reiterates how important Jonathan Taylor is to the Colts offense.
(1:03:03-1:17:56) – Don Fischer, the voice of the Indiana Hoosiers, joins Jake Query & Jimmy Cook to try and describe the environment last Saturday in their dominating win over Nebraska, doesn’t believe the playbook will change all that much with Tayven Jackson quarterbacking the team compared to Kurtis Rourke, and is really at a loss for words when trying to put it into words what it’s like for him seeing this program succeed so quickly underneath Curt Cignetti.
(1:17:56-1:21:45) – Hour number two concludes with Jake, Jimmy, and Eddie discussing Jonathan Taylor being absent again. They wonder if Taylor would be playing if this game was a playoff game or a win or go home scenario.
(1:28:13-1:51:03) – Colts running back Tyler Goodson joins Query & Company to recap yesterday’s win for the team, goes back to last season and revealing how he put the dropped fourth down pass behind so quick, takes you through experiencing his first career NFL touchdown, discusses how cool it is for him and Josh Downs to be playing together in the NFL after playing together in high school, and then shares what his favorite place in Indy to eat is.
(1:51:03-1:53:44) – During their conversation with Tyler Goodson, Shane Steichen provided an update on the status of Jonathan Taylor and DeForest Buckner this week. Jake, Jimmy, and Eddie share what Steichen had to say.
(1:53:44-2:05:08) – Today’s show ends with the JCook Plays of the Day and Eddie sharing a couple bets he likes! Plus, JMV joins the guys in studio to preview his show!
