Romans 6-2 says,

how can we who died to sin live in it any longer?

I'm not gonna continue in sin.

You're not gonna continue in sin because we're dead to sin.

That's not really what I wanna do.

I don't wanna be jealous, I don't wanna be greedy. That's not really what I want to do. I don't want to be jealous.

I don't want to be greedy.

That's not what I want.

The real me, the born-again me, is dead to that.

And through the power of the Holy Spirit,

my flesh is going to come under control.

We were buried with him by baptism,

and we were raised with him to live in newness of life.

Resurrection life belongs to you.

We're new creatures in Christ.
