Hey everyone. This is Mary DeMuth and this is Pray Every Day where I have the joy and privilege of praying you through the Bible verse by verse.

So happy to be in the book of Colossians. But before we dive into chapter three, I want to pray for someone that's injured themselves by doing sports.

So Lord, I pray for my friend who has a sports injury. And I pray, Lord, that if they're doing the PT,

that it's going well and that you would bring them

to a new place of healing and health.

And Lord, as we have injuries, boy, they're hard to endure.

It's hard to be patient.

I know for me, I run ahead of it oftentimes. And so, Lord,

I pray for my friend that they would have patience today as they heal from the injury. And Lord,

I pray that you would give doctors wisdom in dealing with it, but also I pray that you would heal it.

And any discouragement that has come from it, Lord, I pray that you take away and replace that with peace, the peace that passes all understanding and all comprehension.

I pray this in your name. Amen.

Colossians chapter 3 in the World English Bible.

This is what it says.

If then you were raised together with Christ, seek the things that are above where Christ is seated on the right hand of God.

Set your mind on the things that are above, not on the things that are on earth.

For you died and your life is hidden with Christ and God.

When Christ our life is revealed, then you will also be revealed with Him in glory.

Put to death, therefore, your members, which are on the earth, sexual immorality, uncleanness,

depraved passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry.

For these things sake, the wrath of God comes on the children of disobedience.
