Howdy, Pastor Mark Triscoll here at the Trinity Church in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Really excited to provide for you the series of sermons based on the Book of Colossians.

It's an amazing book of the New Testament where the Apostle Paul is writing from prison to a newly planted

church and we took a few months here at the Trinity Church to go verse by verse through

this book of the Bible. I've had the honor of preaching

and teaching perhaps a few dozen books of the Bible in my career and this is the

first time I've ever been through Colossians and I'm really excited that you can

join me.

We're starting a brand new book of the Bible.

If you've got your Bible, go to the book of Colossians

or find it on the fake Bible on your phone.

Either way, go to Colossians chapter 1, verse one.

I'll start with a little story,

and we're gonna spend three months in this book of the Bible,

so start studying it, reading it, getting ready every Sunday.

And let me start with a story.

When I was a little boy, I was the oldest of five kids, my dad was a construction worker and

sometimes he'd work outside of town to make money and send it back to take care of myself and my mom and then

eventually the other kids join the family and my mom would get a little bit

bored and she'd want to go exploring and up in the mountains and off-roading well we

couldn't afford you know an off-road vehicle,
