Welcome in to the DNVR avalanche post game. We got Big E and Ruto coming to you live as the ads lose in a shootout to the New York Rangers.

I'll get to the Nathan McKinnon thing in a bit. Obviously probably one of the bigger talking points for tonight for this game. But let us start off with the 60 second run down.

First period was really tight from both teams.

Really, really well played defensively, quality goal-tending.

Felt like a playoff game, to be honest with you.

Maybe a little bit on the tight side, but felt like a playoff game.

It's nothing, nothing after one. It looked like it was going to be nothing, nothing after two, but the second was a much more open period. A lot more chances for both teams. Goaltending was great for both teams. Last minute of the period, Casey Middlestadt breaks through, gets one pass to Sterkin. To put the abs up one, nothing. And then the Rangers would score two

goals in a row. In the third period, they would get it back to tide off of a banked in puck

off the back of Giorgia from behind the net. And then a power play goal to make it to one.

It's pretty fortunate. It was challenged for a hand pass, but ultimately ruled a good goal.

The abs would get one back officially called an own goal.

Bit controversial, in my opinion, but again, we'll talk about that later.

That got it to overtime.

Neither team scored.

That got it to the shootout, where Shasturkin was the better of the two goals.

And to be fair, the F shoot shootout move sucked. But Rangers take it in the shootout.

I want to start here. I don't have any problem with the way the Yavs played this game on a whole tonight.

I thought they played great. If Shisterkin didn't stand on his head, they probably win this game pretty easily, but Shastirkin just played amazing tonight. It happens. I agree with you. I thought they were great. I thought there was a great hockey game. We talked about it before the game. We were all excited about the game, and I think it lived up to the hype lived up to expectations to the top

teams in the league east west and a little bit of everything it was exciting overtime was

exciting um I like you said I have nothing against the abs except maybe one thing and we'll talk about

it yeah and then we had touched upon it on the pregame and that's the difference in the game when you think about it. But all in all, it was a good game, good effort. I mean, they deserve the better fate. And then I, you know, again, I always, I mean, I hate shootouts. I think it's the stupidest thing.
