Its election season in America, early voting is underway and election day is next Tuesday,

and while not much is at stake compared to a presidential or congressional election year,

or a New York City mayoral or New Jersey gubernatorial election year, right, the contest

that are taking place will help set the stage for those.

And we're going to talk about that later this hour with journalist Ben Max, who has an

article in New York magazine.

And later we're going to talk to Joan Walsh, pretty frequent guest on the show from

the Nation magazine, National Affairs correspondent.

She's got a new book, she's a co-author with Don Cohen, who's also going to join us of

a new book whose name we can't say on the radio.

It's corporate bull something.

So they will be here later and at the end of the show today we're going to invite calls

because of a cute story we saw on the Washington Post from those of you who have ever encountered

another human being or maybe a dog that has the same name as you.
