Playcalling is one of the most important elements that we have in the beautiful sport of football.

And today, with the special guests, we are going to give you the top five offensive play callers in all of college football. They could be the head coach. They could be the O.C. They may be somebody cool you've never even heard about yet, but we have the top five. David Cohn, former Michigan quarterback, Blaine Crane, former Western State Colorado wide receiver.

Definitely. Well, look, before we get into the list, and we're going to go five to one, I know you have a list. We're going to get yours kind of talk about it. what in your opinion makes just give me a couple things or maybe there's one

overriding factor that makes

an incredible play caller or a dangerous play caller, because I know what I would choose.

Yeah, I mean, I think it comes down to sequencing. I mean, everybody's running a lot of the same

concepts or the same spacing, but the guys that are able to tie it all together and really

have a feel for calling it in the game, there's an intuition, I think, with play callers.

And I've always said that there's two kinds of play callers. There's classical musicians and

there's jazz musicians. And there's some guys that are really tied into their call sheet and treat it very much like reading sheet music and then there's other guys that they just

they know the offense so well that they can really riff in real time and so i think there's two

different styles but uh both can be effective it's just about finding the right fit for your team and

your personnel it's it's almost like the oppenheimer movie right yeah some Yeah. Some people can do the math, but can you hear the music? Can you hear the music? And to the point of a lot of the classical guys, and again, I've got no qualms with that, I would rather, as a defensive guy, go against a classical guy. I would rather, once you, because it's amazing, once that script on that first drive runs out of those first 12 plays, some guys can either play the game or they can't.
