So the Big 12 conference is obviously getting a team into the college football playoff,

but I am no longer convinced that the committee will do the right thing and put the Big 12

champion in as the number four seed and get a buy over Boise State.

I am starting to believe that it is Boise State who will get the final

buy if they win the Mountain West Championship game this weekend. I'm Pete Mundo. We're

college football playoff rankings came out on Tuesday night and of course the final

rankings before championship weekend. And I continue to have major problems with how the

Big 12 is being treated by the playoff committee. So here are the rankings right now when it comes to

So Arizona State comes in at 15, Iowa State's 16, BYU is 18, and Colorado is 23. So four

big 12 teams ranked this week. K-State falls from the rankings. So you've got 15 and 16 meeting for a

conference championship. Here's the problem. Boise State is up at number 10, five spots ahead of

Arizona State, and it's not like I can sit here and say to you, well, the big 12 champ's going to have

a much better win than Boise. So obviously,

they'll jump Boise. UnLV is ranked right now at number 18. That's who Boise State is playing

this week. Number 20, excuse me. So if Boise State gets, let's say, a touchdown victory over UNLV, and then Iowa State beats Arizona State by a touchdown or Arizona State beats Iowa State by a touchdown either way, is the committee going to move the Big 12 champ in that scenario up over Boise State.

Based on what I'm seeing, I don't believe they're going to do it.
