All right, Brian, in the final part of today's show here in the Irish Breakdown podcast,

brought to by our friends over at Fanduil, we are previewing the first round of the college football playoffs. The first game is tomorrow night. And then there's obviously three on Saturday.

Now, typically we'd be a lot more fired up about the college football playoffs, kind of coming right around the corner.

But because of all the things that have happened in the last couple weeks, not as much of, you know, as an excitement heading into this weekend, but we know that a lot of

people are still going to be watching these games. And we are still a football podcast where,

yes, we love talking Notre Dame, but we also love talking about big picture college football

as well. So Brian College football playoffs start this weekend has a little bit of a just a sour

taste of my mouth just saying it, but nonetheless it does start this weekend.

It does.

And you've got four, you know, obviously one game Friday night, and that's going to be Alabama,

Oklahoma is going to be Friday night. And then Saturday at noon, again, why the playoff committee is just

stupid. Why is Miami and Texas A&M kicking off at noon at 11 o'clock at Texas time? Why?

Why? The same reason they did it last year. Do I think't texas clemson at noon last year no no

was it i couldn't remember so i think it was the early game and then because i think

smu uh penn state came later then you've got two lane at old miss uh at 3 30 on saturday and then

james mad Madison and Oregon at

730. It's not a great slate of games. It isn't. But there's a couple that I think are very

intriguing, and we're going to break them all down and talk about them. And I'm curious to see

just big picture, Trevor, is the first round looked different than it did last year.

I mean, last year's first round games weren't the greatest either.

I mean, the most competitive game was the Clemson, Texas game, where Texas at one point time, I had a three touchdown lead.

And then the other only quote unquote competitive game was a 10 point Notre Dame
