All right, Brian and part two of today's show here on the Irish Breakdown

We're talking about the college football playoff quarterfinal, something that we all believe that Notre Dame should have been in and should be playing for. But unfortunately, we don't get to talk about Notre Dame preparing to take on one of the final eight opponents, albeit they should be. But with that being said, there is still playoff football going on this weekend. So we wanted to preview the four big games. But before we dive into it individually, Brian, I know that there were some things that we wanted to talk about in terms of this year's playoffs. We've said it before. Not all playoffs are created equally. Like, for example, last year we talked about, you know, Notre Dame started out in the 10th seed, very similar to what they did this year.

Last year they rose all the way up to the fifth ranking, the fifth ranked team.

This year, obviously we understand that played out.

They dropped.

They freaking dropped despite destroying everyone they played in the month of November.

In the last rankings, they dropped, shock.

But with that being said, not all playoffs.

In the last two games against Power 5 teams,

Nerdyam out scored their opponents 119 to 27.

And I think all but six of those 27 were scored in the fourth quarter,

and they dropped in the rankings.

Think about that.

And tell me that wasn't a rigged game.

Yeah, those are thoughts that keep me awake at night.

That's 100% for sure.

But like you said.

But there's a lot of interesting storylines, right, Trev?

I mean, there's this supremacy of the two big leagues

that's at stake this weekend, in my opinion. The SEC versus the Big Ten. You know, there's a chance

that three SEC teams could advance. There's a chance that three Big Ten teams could advance or somewhere
