What's up, everybody? Welcome to the Early Edge College Football Playoff show. We're going to have a lot of college football playoff picks. But other bowl game picks as well, of course, this show always brought to you by BetMGM. Make it legendary. My name is Sienajad, but again, y'all don't care about me. You care about the stars of the show. so let's bring them in right now because we've got

0:54.3

Emery Hunt, we've got Tom Casally, we've got Mike McClure, and gentlemen, we've got a lot of games to talk about, but we're going to kick things off chronologically Friday night with what some might say is the best game of the weekend. And Mike McClure, I'm going to start with you. it's Bama, it's Oklahoma. It's in Oklahoma. Again, this is an 8 o'clock start time on Friday night. We've got a spread here of Bama minus 1 on the road, a very low 40.5 point total. Got a rematch here, Mike. Who's going to win it this time? Give me Alabama here, see ya. Look, this is the game in the opening round of the college football playoff. In my opinion, by far, the one that I care about the most, certainly. When I look at this particular matchup, I think Bama can do enough. I think they're good enough defensively. Like, their defense in this matchup kind of gets overshadowed by what Oklahoma's been able

1:45.7

to do.

1:46.0

There's no doubt that Oklahoma has been the best defense in college football.

1:49.7

The problem is, is their offense just hasn't been there.

1:52.9

And I don't think it will be here with additional time to prepare in a matchup that's

1:57.7

already played out once this season.

1:59.5

I think Alabama can really learn a lot from that setup. They are a team that needed the break at the right time, having just a little bit of time off. Jim Miller, good to go in this game. That's huge for me, having just a little bit of a chance of a running game for Alabama, takes just enough pressure off. I like Bama here. I think it should be at least minus three. Just so everybody knows, we're going to talk about sides, totals, game props, maybe some player props for each of these big games, get into some other bowl games as well. Emery, do we agree with Mike? Again, Oklahoma won the first time, but if you just looked at the tail of the tape, it did look like Alabama should have won. With all that said, Alabama's been sputtering a little bit on offense lately. What say you on this game? Is some in the room with us right now? Because you said some say this the best game of the weekend. It's not my best game of the weekend. We'll get to the best game later on in the show, in my opinion. J&U, of course.

3:11.7

In my opinion, humbling. Right. But we would look at this game. I agree with Mike. It's Alabama's offense versus Oklahoma's offense. All things being considered, Alabama turned the ball over a lot last time they played, and they only won by, they lost by what, two or three or something like that? So Oklahoma's offense has been the problem since Materia came back from the hand injury.

3:18.1

So unless he's back to what he was like earlier in the year, I don't see anything changing from an offensive perspective.

3:23.9

So I trust Bama to minimize the turnovers, finest consistency, and Mike touched on the biggest key. The fact that they had a lot of time to get healthy. I think that's going to be huge for them in this matchup, this rematch. So I like Alabama on later points. All right. We're laying the one here, Tom Casale. At least Mike and Emery are, how about you? Yeah, I agree with what everybody said. You know, I think a rematch matters if it happened recently.

3:43.9

And this game just happened.

3:45.2

And if you look at that game, Oklahoma was held to 212 total yards and 4.2 yards per play.

3:51.1

It was the three turnovers that were the difference.
