So Trev, the final portion of today's show, and we said at the beginning of the show that there was a lot of talk that the committee, playoff committee was going to make a decision on the receding.

And they announced during it, and we don't know any of the other things that are going to come of this,

but they announced during the show that the playoff this season, beginning this season,

so it's an immediate change.

The 12-team playoff is going to eliminate the buys for conference champions.

Now, conference champions will still get automatic bids to the playoffs.

So that remains the same.

But what has changed is they don't get automatic buys. And so I'm going to read to you

what was released today and then we'll kind of talk about it a little bit, Trev, because obviously

this is a change. But basically they said the new policy will guarantee the five highest ranked

conference champions a place in the playoff but will no longer include a buy

for the four highest ranked champions. The 12 team bracket will now be seated directly based on

the final ranking of the CFB selection committee with the four highest ranked teams receiving

a first round buy. If one or more of the five highest ranked conference champions are ranked

outside the top 12,

that team or teams would move up to the 12th seed, 11th seed, etc.

Based on the number of conference champions outside the top 12th.

And then the executive of the committee said this.
