And over the last few days, I have been watching coverage of campus protests about Israel and Gaza and been increasingly gobsmacked.

Campus protests have become a major flashpoint in not just the culture war, but inside of the Democratic Party in progressive circles

and the whole thing is heating up. On April 17th, Columbia students pitched more than 50-tenths on the lawn of their campus to establish a

liberated zone on behalf of the Gazan people. Although that zone did not stay up for long,

university officials asserted that a physical zone that large

was too disruptive to campus life and not to mention was creating an environment of

harassment and intimidation for students, particularly Jewish students.

Police arrived shortly thereafter at the administration's behest,

removed over a hundred protesters and tied up their hands with zip ties.

Some of those students were suspended or removed from student housing.

Meanwhile, Jews on university campuses report rising anti-Semitism, they report targeted

harassment, and an increasing concern that they are not physically safe attending classes,

which prompted Columbia University to cancel in-person classes for the rest of the semester.

Until the end of term, classes on that established prestigious campus

will be remote like we are back in the pandemic.

Meanwhile down here in Texas, students at the University of Texas Austin started to

rev up similar pro-Gaza anti-Israel protests in create their own liberated zone were something akin to it, but the governor

sent in troops on horseback to break it up.

So what's happening here, gang? What is going on on American college campuses? Is there something
