So what is the latest about the Prime Minister's condition?

Still in intensive care? He is still in

intensive care. We are recording at 9.30 on Tuesday night, so the Prime Minister

will be spending a second evening intensive care. But for all that the official details have been pretty limited today,

I suppose the important thing to say is that although he was moved to intensive care late

last night, the Prime Minister has not deteriorated through the day.

Now he's said to be in good spirits and he has not been moved on to a mechanical ventilator.

And if you've been listening to this podcast over the last couple of weeks

you'll sort of know why that's a very important so basically the Prime Minister

his health is obviously in a very serious situation but he's not yet at the sort of really critical and

intense part of having treatment for a coronavirus where people are artificially

ventilated but clearly he's still in a situation where the medics believe it's

important that he's near to that kind of treatment should he need it but he's

not disrearating and in the context of how quickly this disease can move, that is an important fact tonight.

So he's not getting worse and maybe he's not in as bad shape as everyone's sort of assumed last night when this kind of

bombshell news came out that he'd be moved to intensive care.

Yeah, I mean I think you know we have to be careful not to speculate

about his health too much but this time last night when we were talking it was very shocking to

people both in the outside world and in government that he had been moved into
