tonight's sleep story welcome to this bedtime story from Abide this sleep meditation is written from the

scriptures to help you relax and fall asleep please take a moment to get comfortable adjust the

pillow pull up the covers and settle your mind on peace and rest the end of a long day is here it is time to rest from your work and responsibility for now your only job is to focus on peaceful sleep

in the presence of the lord take a deep breath in and release it slowly feel the tension leave your body as you relax every muscle inhale and exhale a few more

times releasing all lingering thoughts to the Lord now invite the Holy Spirit to

be with you as you sleep ask him to cover you with his peace love joy and peace are part of who God is by his

spirit he releases these fruits into your life as well welcome his presence to be

with you and abide in the fruits of his comfort tonight.

Feel the warmth of the covers and the stillness of your surroundings and close you with a sense of calm.

Breathe in and let it out.

Tonight, I will tell you a comforting story about the gift of God's favor.

And just in case you're wondering, God's favor is the undeserved grace that he chooses to give because he

loves and delights in us so settle your mind on the gift of god's love and delight over you

receive his undeserved grace and know that he loves you with an everlasting love.

Good and gracious God, I pray for this listener tonight your beloved child who is resting in your

presence and seeking the gift of your favor thank you for being with them please calm their

mind and rein in all the thoughts that are not of you cover them with the warmth of your love

and help them know that they are held by you in the name of your son jesus i ask for the gift of

your favor to be revealed to them as they fall asleep please remind them that your presence alone is a divine
