Hello, and welcome to another collecting addict's podcast. I'm reliably informed. This is number 19. So we'll call it the Paul Hardcastle, shall we?

We're going straight in on motorsport and stuff we've done this weekend because this allows me to tell you that I went to the British supermarket round.

I've gone into yesterday with my youngest and I have to say, as I was trembling up the M5 and it was hot and I thought, what else we could be doing?

I was a little bit worried that I'd made the wrong call. I was so wrong. I had the most surprisingly enjoyable day out. Well, I knew it was going to be good, but I was just so presently surprised.

The moment we walked through the gates, Donington was just in full bloom. You forget what a lovely circuit Donington is. It's in that natural bowl just by the airport.

All the greens were verdant. The grass was perfectly kept. Jonathan Palmer really does. He takes pride in his circuits and I really admire him for that.

But the car park was rammed outside. It just felt like I've gone back 30 years to the hey, they have of British circuits and then being absolutely full.

So, yeah, I don't want to be like actually like the PR department of British supervised, but they put on a fantastic display yesterday. The paddock was so family friendly.

I just really good eggs. Everyone's interested in little people adults as well. The racing was exceptional. I watched some race for 13 to 16 year olds where it was mayhem.

They were sort of for abreast elbow each other through the crainers when they came over the line and someone high sided as they were going over the line and took out.

It was just wonderful. So, I'm not on a percentage, but this is a rally in call. If you get the chance to go to Superbike Round, a British Superbike Round this year, please do so.

So, I watched a biter than ever going 24 hours.

There was so much motor sport on that wasn't F1. And it was, we're very worried and sort of concerned about those are affected by the flood in Northern Italy.

It did give other motor sports an opportunity to shine. So, whilst I was in Croft in the northeast of England watching, finally one of my sons racing his catering.

It's a little bit of the November 24 hours. It's, I think it's unique. It's, so it's mostly sports car and touring car racing, but world sports car GT racing, just like two or three classes, maybe three classes.

GT3 racing Europe is one class.

Over going 24 hours, there's 20 classes. It's such an enormous diversity of cars. There's about 30 or GT3 cars at the front.

It's gone from being. It's about 200 cars in the race, maybe slightly fewer than that. 25 kilometers away around. There's nothing like it anywhere in any other kind of way that compares to it.

It's still 200 starters, is it? It may be about 180, I think, but it, I mean, we obviously did, Munk and I did it 21 years ago in that catering when we did it 21 years ago.
