Sudby. I'm going to be in for John tonight. He wasn't feeling well and asked me

if I could jump on. He and Chris and I said, of course, because,

you know, otherwise I would be sitting here listening to John,

screaming and yelling and having the TV on in the background and just trying to unpack what the

hell happened today. Five votes! Five votes for Kevin McCarthy today. He lost all

of them. He's not the speaker. He's O for 11. Oh for 11. That's I mean we are watching history unfold before our eyes. We are watching a political party that has no agenda, has no

plans, has nothing to offer the American people, can't even do the most fundamental job of

electing a speaker of the House. So right now we don't have a functioning House

of Representatives, not that we'll have a functioning House if and when Republicans ever take control because they are clearly not interested in governing, not in any way, shape or form.

That is on display before us right now.

And I'm going to tell you, I see all these reporters and pundits and

they're all asking, where are the moderate Republicans? Why aren't they trying to

fix this? What do you mean moderate Republicans. Why aren't they trying to fix this?

What do you mean moderate Republicans?

Like, what do you mean?

I just, that term is just such bullshit really. There are no moderate Republicans. There are just less extreme Republicans.

And I'll tell you, you know, to me, one of the greatest examples of how extreme the party is is that seven of the 11 members of Republicans who have nominated McCarthy so far voted to overturn the 2020 election just two years ago.

Almost two years ago tomorrow, although it was late in the early in the morning of January 7th when they finally took these votes,

because there was an attack on the Capitol launched by their leader, one true leader, Donald Trump,

...
