Summary
Colin’s joined by John Middlekauff, host of “3 and Out” to break down all the week 8 NFL action!
They start with Sunday Night Football and the Niners holding off the Cowboys. They point the finger at Jerry Jones for signing bad contracts and mismanaging team personnel (7:00) and point out that Brock Purdy and Dak Prescott are very similar quarterbacks…with wildly different paychecks (15:00)
Then, they break down a crazy hail-mary finish between the Commanders and Bears and rip the Bears for their absolutely horrific offensive game plan and explain why they made a mistake drafting wide receiver Rome Odunze instead of drafting an offensive lineman (30:30).
They point to a total “systemic breakdown” for the Jets after their third straight loss since firing Robert Salah and highlight their defense getting progressively worse (40:00). They both agree Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson can’t function as an NFL quarterback and agree that if the Colts want to win they need to start Joe Flacco (55:00).
They call the Eagles win over the Bengals one of their most important, and call out Bengals ownership for being cheap and refusing to support Joe Burrow with a quality supporting cast and coach (01:09:00), and contrast that to the coaching job Sean Payton has done with the Broncos in order to get a subpar roster to a 5-3 start (01:17:00).
Finally, they discuss the huge ratings so far for the Yankees vs Dodgers World Series and point out to the star studded lineups for both teams as one of the drivers of huge fan interest (01:25:00)
