So I want to be clear.

What he's referring to and what is known in the security profession is layers of security.

If you think of concentric circles going around, there should be numerous concentric circles

of different levels of security.

And the lowest level of security, of course, would be outside the hotel.

But that's where the checks

and balances are. That's where people should be interviewed or there should be some access control

as to who is going to this event. For example, a ticket that scanned comes up with the person's name,

who they are, and all of those things, not a piece of

paper showing that you work for the press that allows you in. Very, very poor security.

And how many, you know, how many times, how many attempts on this president's life does there

have to be until they take this security a little more seriously?

I'm thinking, you know, and then they're considering, as they just said on Fox,

it's a success because the president didn't get shot and the perpetrator was caught

and a secret service agent was shot in the chest, but his life was saved by this bullet-resistant vest.

You know, that's not a success. This is a security incident, a security incident whereby someone who was motivated that actually wrote a manifesto of his intentions of his hatred for Donald Trump and his administration and what his intentions were.

So this is not a security success. It's a security incident.

And I think that has to be realized also.

This was the president after this incident took place on Saturday.

And again, he's speaking very confidently,

but if I was him, I'd be a little more nervous than this.

That was very unexpected, but incredibly acted upon by Secret Service and law enforcement,
