On today's episode, I'm breaking down the scouting report for Cole Payton quarterback

for North Dakota State.

I'm going to explain my grade, give you NFL comps. Talk about his concerns and what

the things that worry me when the person hands to his NFL draft profile, but I'm going to kick

the show off with the pros, the things I like about the North Dakota State star quarterback.

Cole Payton is that prototypical developmental dual threat toolsy quarterback that has plus level

long term starting upside. This is a guy that comes in at 6.3, 232 pounds, 10 and a quarter on the hand,

big hands, right? 31 and 5'8s on the arm, but it's the athletic testing and the competitiveness

that he displayed at the combine, 456 in the 40, right? Remember, Cornell Tate, the wide receiver,

ran the 453, just telling you how fast this quarterback is. He jumped 40 inches in the vert.

He had a 1010 broad, a three cone of 7-1-2 with a short shuttle of 4.36.

When you look at a guy like Cole Payton, where he wins, big, physical, powerful quarterback who's also athletic.

He is a legitimate athlete at the quarterback position.

He gives you more in the run game.

He gives you an added extra element to how you call your run plays, right?
