Let's start where I think is most obvious. The saber rattling of nuclear weapons with the Kremlin, the mobilization of forces of conscripts for the first time since 1945. Yesterday, Biden used the word, the phrase, Armageddon, to talk about how Putin is serious about a nuclear war.

I don't buy the KGB kernel is not insane. He's not suicidal. He's in a tough place after nine months of the Ukraine bloodying his nose. But how does China fit into all of this?

How does China, their military pretensions to Taiwan have they been given pause for thought? Are they making money off Russia? Tell us how the real threat fits in.

China, first of all, they've been very happy. They've been buying a lot of commodities, so they've been financing Putin's war, but they've been getting those commodities at a discount. So when you have oil prices up as high as they are, China actually likes this.

But the other thing though is we've seen Beijing go all-ins to support the war effort. Remember on February 4th, Putin went to Beijing. They issued that 5,300-word joint statement, no-limits partnership.

And they really mean that because we've seen the Chinese diplomats be put in service of the Kremlin. Chinese propaganda outlets have been amplifying Russian disinformation. China's been putting its financial system at the service of Russian institutions.

When Visa and Mastercard said no more business inside Russia, China is in the same position.

Happy to help you. The Russian banks that have been kicked off of Swift have now access to China's version of Swift, which is SIPS.

And also the Chinese have been supplying military information to the Russians. This location data from the Chinese-made drones that Ukraine operates. China has been giving that data to the Russians. The Russians have been taking out Ukrainian drone operators.

Is this an amount of support, a quality of support that you think is enough to keep Russia where it needs to be, to grind Ukraine, or are there limits on China because they need some of these resources for themselves?

So far, the Chinese have been keeping the Russians in the war. If it weren't for Beijing, I don't think Putin would be able to continue for as long as he has. He needs all sorts of things that Beijing supplies.

But the most important thing is almost like moral support. Five days ago, the Chinese were amplifying these Russian threats to nuke the world.

Now, China has on its own threatened to nuke the world, but you have these propaganda outlets supporting Putin, carrying force this narrative that the Russians are actually serious.

So Beijing is behind that to amplify that message.

But their designs on Taiwan have they been given pause for thought because we have this meeting between Xi and Putin before the invasion that clearly was kind of, hey, I'm about to do this, Xi, are you okay?

Were they planning to do something and now they're thinking maybe twice?

Well, I think, first of all, I think that Xi Jinping did greenlight the invasion of Ukraine.
