Gardner Desois passed away on May 27th. He was supposed to be honored via a solstice award at the

Cifo Nebula conference and we were all looking forward to seeing him and Gardner

succumbed to his medical issues. We at Clark's World are very, very heartbroken at this development and I'd like to dedicate this podcast to Gardner in particular and to his family and the

industry that is now grieving the loss of such a larger-than Than Life figure.

Our first reprint for the month of May, ironically titled Cold Comfort, is for

Pat Murphy writes fiction that inhabits the borderland between genres,

where life is interesting and the rules are slippery. She is very grateful

Nebula Awards, the Philip K Dick Award, the World Fantasy Fantasy Award, the

Sayun Award, and the Theodore Sturgeon Memorial Award. In her day job she is the

resident evil genius at mystery science.com where she creates science activities to

inspire and amaze elementary school students.
