You just knew that Stephen Colbert would make the incident worse, where seven of his employees from the late show were illegally in the United

States Capitol building and detained, arrested, booked, and released. You knew he would make

it worse the second he spoke. Stevens Colbert is the late night quote unquote star,

who's had a tumultuous run following David Letterman as his ratings were

initially awful. He gained some traction and began to do better. And then as Trump became president,

of course, everyone in late night quote unquote entertainment and comedy switched to liberalism and just blasting away at all things,

Donald Trump. They showed their colors. So Stephen Colbert has been out front, way out front

of all of this January 6th nonsense that's been going on, that this was the worst thing in American

history.

They couldn't believe what was happening.

Its democracy is over.

I mean, serious, serious, serious.

And now he says of seven staffers that were in the building on June 16th during the show pony

trial, that they were, yes, our staff was there, they were doing their job and they were

being professional.

And they were cooperative with the Capitol Police.

He doesn't really say they were arrested, breaking the law.

He doesn't say that they had been told to leave earlier in the day.

He doesn't say that a Democrat somehow allowed them back in the

building to do what? To harass Republicans, to shoot videos outside their offices, making fun of them,

to have a puppeteer making jokes, crude jokes about how bad Republicans are in the January 6th trial.
