0:46.0	Remember after he lost his election last month, he was like, hmm, I don't know if I'll be giving a speech. I know people do that but nah. The second he said that we knew he was going to give a speech and he spoke for 30 minutes. Which is extraordinary when you consider that he wasn't some long time
1:06.4	picture in the Senate. He was first elected in 2018 in a special election and reelected just once after that. But Dick being Dick, he had a hard
1:17.2	time tearing himself away from that power. Which is exactly why his loss is the gift that keeps on giving.
1:25.0	As time passes, it just feels more and more great.
1:29.0	There was one thing Dick mentioned in his going away speech that resonated with me though.
1:34.9	He lamented the state's loss of Senator Katrina Sheely, who was voted out of office after she voted
1:41.8	against strict abortion legislation.
1:44.8	This was a huge loss for the women of South Carolina.
1:49.2	Sheely was one of three Republican women in the Senate and all three are now voted out of office.
1:56.0	At this point only two women will be left in the Senate come January.
2:00.8	That is two women in the Senate out of 46 senators.
2:05.7	And this is in a state that has had no women
2:09.2	on the Supreme Court.
2:10.8	Something has to change.
