on sentiment at record levels. President-elect Donald Trump's team is reportedly talking to the

crypto industry about whether to create a new

White House post specifically dedicated to crypto policy. During the campaign trail, Trump promised to

create a Bitcoin and crypto presidential advisory council. Bloomberg reporting that discussions

about the crypto role include someone to lead a small staff and

acting as a liaison between the White House, Congress, and the various agencies with jurisdiction

over crypto, such as the Securities and Exchange Commission and Commodity Futures Trading Commission.

This week, Trump reportedly met with Coinbase CEO, Brian Armstrong, and former Coinbase and Finance

U.S. executive Brian Brooks, who is also believed to be a candidate for SEC chair.

Gary Wong, former FTX chief technology officer and close friend of Sam Bakeman-Fried,

won't have to serve prison time for his involvement in the crypto exchanges fraud scheme.
