Because if you had actually enacted and the president's agenda instead of promising him a vote on immigration and a vote on the wall and a vote,

then you wouldn't, you would not have lost the House of Representatives.

You would have had more in the way of accomplishments to run on.

And you wouldn't have given the Democrats such a head of steam on major issues.
