This week, former Trump lawyer Michael Cohen filed a sentencing memorandum alleging

that Trump's lawyers and White House staff were briefed on his testimony

to Congress before he testified falsely.

Shortly thereafter, Donald Trump tweeted praise of Roger Stone

for refusing to cooperate with the investigation of Special Counsel Robert Mueller, raising questions of

whether he was engaging in witness tampering. What do these latest revelations

My name is Renato Mariati. I'm a former federal prosecutor, a practicing lawyer, and a

CNN legal analyst. And I'm joined by my friend Patty Vasquez, a comedian and WGM radio host who will join us regularly on this podcast.

So Patty, there's a lot to talk about today. We are recording this at 8 o'clock eastern 7 p.m. Central on December 4th.

So today is supposed to be the day that Mueller is going to be filing Michael Flynn's

sentencing memorandum, but it has not dropped yet.

But we have a lot to discuss I you know I think we had

thought about even recording something over the weekend because there have been so

many developments right and of course he has five more hours so I've got my phone open in case we have any developing news while we're talking.

Well, great. It seems like things are developing all the time. We've been trying to keep up by having more frequent

podcasts and we'll continue to do it because a lot of listeners have been asking for it.

I will say that, you know, this time I'm going to try to talk about some of the bigger topics and sort of the

wide-ranging topics that we have because, you know, I think a lot of the questions that we've been getting and it's been really helpful to hear people's questions have been some of the big issues of why, for example, the president can't be indicted. I know a lot of people are wondering whether or not there's going to be a report or not and I think our guests will have something
