I will come back to the Personality Hacker podcast, my name is Joe Mark Witt, and I'm

in Tonya Dodge.

So both in Tonya and I grew up in very religious contexts, and both of our fathers gave lots

of talks at church.

And so I've got many memories of sitting in a congregation while my father, and sometimes

my mom was on stage giving talks or sharing things with the congregation we were visiting

that week or we were in.

And I remember this one talk he gave very clearly.

I mean, I remember a lot of his talks, but it's in a apocryphal tale in the midst of

a talk to illustrate something, talking about this woman in her neighborhood, kind of maybe

an older woman who isn't doing anything during the day.

So she's, she's one of those people in the binoculars looking out the window at everybody

else's houses and kind of nitpicking what's going on and being critical of it and just seeing

what's going on in the neighborhood, keeping a watchful eye.

Maybe people today would call them a Karen, you know, or something like this.

She's keeping a watchful eye and the story goes that she's constantly complaining about

all the other neighbors around her that have dirty windows.

All their windows are dirty.

And she's incensed by that.

Why does no one, why does no one take care of their windows?

They're always dirty.

And I can't believe this.
