Coffee Break Spanish is Presso, Episode 1

Hola y bienvenidos!

This is the Coffee Break Spanish is Presso Show, in which we'll be bringing you a quick

shot of Spanish to help you keep thinking about your Spanish on a regular basis.

My name is Mark, me llamo Mark and I'm the teacher here at Coffee Break Spanish.

There will hopefully be something for everyone in each episode so let's get started.

In the first part of this episode, we'll be focusing on an example of real life Spanish.

Initially, most of these examples are going to be from photos which our team has taken

out and about in various parts of the Spanish-speaking world.

We hope that in the future we can include examples of real life Spanish from our community.

If you're traveling or indeed if you live in a Spanish-speaking part of the world and

you see something interesting on a poster, an advert, or a shop window, then take a photo

of it and send it to us.

In this episode, we're focusing on a poster of which I saw recently in Mexico.

Now this was a special promotion for a certain brand of iced tea.

And the poster says, as you can see from the photo that's linked to this episode,

compre, bestapa, junta, y gana.

Now we'll go over what all of that means in just a moment.

But the idea is that you buy a bottle of iced tea, you take off the lid, you check for

a part of a word written on the underside of the lid and match it up with another lid

on another bottle of iced tea that you've bought.
