I tell you what, I've been listening to a lot of music since I've been out here.

And what about favorite guys going these days is on the country music scene is a guy named Cody Jenks.

Now Cody Jenks have been around for a while.

Used to be in like a heavy metal thrash metal band based out of Dallas Fort Worth for a while,

where he's from.

He went out to LA for a little bit and that didn't go so good and they starved to death

They were paying dues like we're gonna talk about in the podcast and he headed back to Texas where he took off for about a year in the music business and then he started back up playing the stuff he grew up listening to and writing country music songs. Everything he wrote was country.

So anyway, all these years later, I guess I've been following Cody

and listened to his music for the last, you know, couple years.

You heard me talk about it on the podcast.

And Cody and I got in contact with each other and every now and then we'll call or talk or text each other and it's not very often I don't talk or text with too many people anyway and Cody's

always out there on the road and is busy as hell but I absolutely love his

music and we were talking the other day and I said hey man I said you just got two albums that just came out. I said why don't you do my podcast? We can promote the albums talk and just shoot the breeze and talk about music. And so that's what we're talking about and Cody is a real interesting guy and he's a smart guy and he's got a good head on his shoulder and he kind of thinks things out and he's kind of found a lot of success and been with a few labels but now

running independent again and you know and doing it people love the ways doing it and

they love the way he sings his songs and the words in his songs and that's what I like about him too.

I just love his music. Some of his music, some of his song, and he used to write most of his material.
