Yo! Welcome into the House of L podcast. I am Lawrence Holmes. Thank you so much for hanging out with me.

I hope that you've enjoyed the last few episodes. It's been fun to kind of get

back into the routine of I really love doing these. I really love talking to

people about what it is that they do and how they do it and I got some great

guests that are coming up including today's guests but just knowing some of

the backgrounds of the folks that I'm targeting over the next few weeks is

pretty cool and what we can provide for you in a way of learning about the

business of broadcasting or the business of journalism. I guess at some point I

should probably do more about if you go back if you go back to the last episode I

posted with on Thanksgiving like it's a bears podcast but really it was about

the journalism that existed last week with the Matt Neggie stuff. You get kind

of a sense of what I like to do with my class and I'm happy last I checked

that looks like I'm be teaching in spring which I'm very excited about and I've

got some new ideas that I want to use with the students this quarter coming up

which I'm really excited about so if you have a student who's at DePaul and they

have if they're not a comm major and they have some electives be looking in

in springtime for my class because it's downtown I think as I as it stands I

believe we're going to do the class in person but if we end up because of

Omacron having to do it online I found that to be fulfilling too and I think

the students work really hard but if you listen to that episode you'll hear me

talking about some of the things that I think are good journalistic practices

and the things that I struggle with where I'm a journalist but not journalist
