0:10.3	But Cody is the person that entrepreneurs go to when they want to acquire a million dollars in profit without building anything of themselves.
0:20.0	And yes, that is totally doable, especially
0:23.0	right now. If you want to have a million dollar business fast, I'm your guy. I've helped people
0:28.5	do it hundreds of times. But getting to $50 million or $100 million is a totally different
0:35.3	playbook. And this is where I am surrounding myself with experts who are doing this.
0:41.2	The fastest way to get to $100 million from what I've seen and what from my mentors have told me is through acquisition, meaning investing in or buying other businesses, specifically businesses that complement the one that
0:56.2	you built to seven figures. In 2017, I sold a business for eight figures to a private equity
1:02.5	group out of Dallas, Texas. And my hope was that I could learn from their playbook and see what
1:08.5	they used in order to take my $10 million business and take it to
1:12.5	50 or $100 million. That didn't happen. Instead, what I learned was that these private equity
1:19.1	people were no smarter than me. They did things differently, but they were no smarter than me,
1:25.2	and they definitely didn't know my business as well as my partner and I did.
1:30.2	So I watched them destroy my very profitable business, which I then bought back for pennies on the dollar.
1:36.9	But in the process, I saw how they think, and I saw how they approach doing really big things.
1:43.4	And some of the businesses that they bought
1:45.6	or invested in did go to $50 or $100 million. And so I asked myself the question, can I do this?
1:52.5	If I'm just as smart as them and even have the entrepreneurial chops to be able to build a
1:57.8	company that they want to buy, can I use their playbook to get to where
2:02.3	I want to go faster? I still have plenty to learn on this playbook, so I've been surrounding
2:07.1	myself with experts and mentors who do this specifically, and one of those people is Cody
