What makes for good documentation? In this episode, we dive into one of the most important yet overlooked facets of coding. With us are Omer Rosenbaum and Tim Post of Swimm.io. Swimm is an app that allows you to create docs coupled with your code, which are auto-synced and integrated into your workflow. It makes for much more efficient, elegant, and accessible documentation. Omer is the CTO of Swimm, and Tim is Principal Development Relations and User Advocate. They are the experts who will guide us through good code documentation practices and tools, as well as share some fascinating real-life examples and stories.

It gets more important as you move along in your career. So if you're just starting out, you could kind of catch you

by surprise. It might seem like if you're just programming a high school project that you're

turning in the next day, you might not realize like how incredibly, incredibly important it is.

But I can tell you as someone who's been programming for a long time, you know, I go back

and look at code that I've written, let's say, five years ago, and I have a bunch of documentation, and it feels actually really good. It's easy to jump into it. And when I look at code that I wrote, when I was a more junior engineer, I have no idea what's going on, and it's a total rewrite. So I can tell you firsthand, it's extremely important. It's also very difficult to do kind of efficiently and to make it kind of part of your
