If you could probably come up with a lot of reasons to love the internal combustion engines.

Just think about it. Pistons shooting up and down inside these cylinder walls,

sucking in fresh air polluted with atomized gasoline, then compressing that mixture, igniting it with the

spark of electricity, and then that explosion drives the piston down and propels the bike forward.

Then back up again to expel the burnt fuel and dirty air and the cycle begins again

thousands of times every minute. It's a marvel of engineering and it's become so

advanced since the early days of the 1800s when it was first invented.

Now, it's advanced incredibly, electronic ignition, fuel injection, computer-controlled engine

management systems, this is all fairly new stuff, variable timing not to mention the uncelebrated

advances those are the things nobody talks about like gaskets piston rings bearings

metallurgy but especially oil seals.

Think about how many bikes you see leak oil nowadays.

And we've come a long way with this internal combustion engine.

But I think you're going to find it more and more difficult

to find people that don't agree that we're

sort of reaching the end of the line for the gas engine no matter how

advance it has become or even may become in the next few years.

We all recognize that we're living in a sort of a massive change time right now in so many ways,

the internet and all technology.

But here I'm talking about the engine and it's inevitable replacement, the electric motor,

the writings in the wall, we're going electric, and maybe

you aren't excited about it, maybe even hate the idea, but it's already here.
