I would imagine the dirty deed was completed.

So off, when the dirty deed was being conducted, when, as we would call it, actus rea the act itself right and mens rea the mental state of mind

or knowingly. Any one of those four mental state of minds equals the mens rea. And you put the

mens rea with the actus rea and you have the completion of a crime and the necessary elements to commit a crime

and the person has yet to be charged.

did the person shut off the AIS system

to cover or up his evil deeds.
