Thank you for joining us for a Tuesday edition of our podcast outside of politics and I guess maybe crime, college football, the playoffs.

Maybe the top story in the country right now is the first time for our new 12-team playoff system.

On top of that, being a college football coach, really has never been harder.

You have to recruit and retain, navigate the portal, deal with

NIL, conference realignment, and now this playoff system that doesn't really seem to factor

in strength of schedule. The committee has a hard job. I do get that, but all conferences are

not the same. All schedules are not the same. Some teams go the whole year and don't play a single

ranked team or maybe one.

Others, you know, have to run the gauntlet in a conference like the SEC.

Shane Beamer, South Carolina Gamecox finished the season on a roll, six games in a row,

several on the road against ranked teams. National pundits, not me, I'm biased, national pundits that aren't biased,

viewed South Carolina is maybe the hottest team in the country. They went to Clemson, which,

for those of you who don't know, is a very, very tough place to go play. And they beat a ranked

Clemson team in their own stadium, and you're barely moved in the rankings.

So perhaps some things will be tweaked in the offseason.
