What about that relationship kind of impacted you the most?

Yeah, well, I grew up in inner city Chicago. It's not like gangs or anything. Just a really good Polish neighborhood and my mom.

Her parents came from Poland. My dad's parents came from Poland, Krakow.

And my mom never went to high school. She was only eighth grade education and she was a cleaning lady at the downtown athletic club. I miss you going to have a new one.

But she was smart. And she had an amazing work ethic. So I learned the dignity of work from her.

Like to get it, whatever you're doing, you get it done. And then she gave me the best advice ever that night before I went to high school.

I was going to a Catholic school in the city. I was going to take your buses. But I knew the city. And my mom sits me down. She's my Michael, whichever she wants.

Something good. Michael, make sure you are on the right bus tomorrow. And I said, my, come on, Damon, the armate, the charm it just I can even go division grand.

And I know. And she, yeah, it's a smart punk. And she says, that's not the bus I'm talking about. And I said, well, what bus are you talking about?

It's from tomorrow on, you're going to be responsible for your bus and only a black good people on it.

And if you get on anyone else's bus, make sure it's somebody who's good. It's really the best advice I've ever gotten in my life. And I've done that the entire time.
