Summary
On this episode of the Peristyle Podcasts hosts Ryan Abraham and Coach Harvey Hyde are back together discussing the Trojans wrapping up spring football with a lot of positive takeaways from the five weeks of workouts. With the defensive staff upgraded and 31 new incoming freshman on campus, the team should be poised for a run at the College Football Playoffs. Coach Hyde feels this is the time for Lincoln Riley to shine and there should be no excuses why this program can't take care of business on the field this fall.
The guys also talk about how this is the end of an era, with the final football practice that the team will come out of the John McKay Center and cross the street to get to Howard Jones Field. In the fall the Bloom Center will open and players can come right out of the building onto the practice field.
Once again USC did not host a traditional spring game and Coach Hyde felt it was a missed opportunity for the team to put one final showcase together and get another weekend of headlines heading into the long off-season. Fans will be able to check out the team on Saturday, April 11 for the Fan Appreciation Day along with the great Swim with Mike event.
