We're doing a risk assessment and then we're putting in place, you know, genitalia cushions

so that we have an extra barrier between actors. Then we're looking at, you know, body part techniques.

We're talking about the rise of intimacy coordinators, people who ensure no actor leaves a film set feeling violated.

Could employing an intimacy coordinator eventually become a legal requirement everywhere?

You can now call your union rep and say there's no intimacy coordinator here

When you're watching a steamy scene like that one from the film Fifty Shades of Grey,

you're probably not thinking about the crew of sound technicians,

gaffers and cinematographers who populated the set while the scene was shot.

They're actors, you might think.

They know what they're doing.

They're paid to fake it, to pretend.

No one said it would be a breeze.

Well, turns out it really isn't.

It's not something that's easy to do.

I really had to get ready for it each time

and know exactly what we

were going to do, how we were going to accomplish shooting the scenes, the more intimate ones.
