Today, it's your friend and mine, Mr. Ben, folks, Ben, do you want to tell the people at home about your first career

trip to the penalty box this weekend?

It's true. Sometimes, you know, you got to do what you got to do out there. And sometimes

what you got to do is a trip a motherfucker right there on the ice, stop a breakaway.

So what I'm hearing you saying is that in the parks and rec, 35 and over men's hockey league,

sometimes that guy, sometimes a guy needs to get his hands dirty. Well, I mean, I will get my

hands dirty in that league as well. I play in two different leagues. There's a 35 and over old man's

league. There, you know, I don't want to break anybody's hip. I'm not trying to send anybody to hospice care here but in the other just regular all-ages novice league

I mean yeah it gets physical out there and then you have to go sit in the penalty box

you want to know the really sad part about my trip to the penalty box my first trip to

the penalty box why I feel like everything you've already said has been sad, but yes, tell me the saddest part,

if you would.

They're like, okay, you know, if you're tripping, number 15, there you go, you're going to the

penalty box.

I go over there and I realize, I don't know how to open the penalty box. I don't, I've never opened the little doors like on and off the ice because it's like

it's open when you get on the ice to start the game.

It's open by the time I get over there to get off the ice at the end of the game.

When you're going, getting on the bench and off, you just hop right over the wall.

And so I have to stand there like an idiot until the ref comes over and helps me open it. If ever there were a metaphor for the loss of your innocence on the ice, that's it, right?
