My name is Carrie Newhoff and I hope our time together today

Man, I've been excited about this episode for a long time,

largely because the leader I'm talking to today is somebody who has influenced

me for 15 years of my leadership, which is almost the entire stretch. Not quite, but like early on, I discovered Patrick Lenchioni.

And by the way, it is Lenchioni, not Lenzioni.

So I learned that in the process of interviewing Patrick as well.

This was a great conversation.

Oh my goodness, he was so generous with his time,

and we talked about lots of stuff I didn't know,

having read virtually all of his books and heard him speak many times.

We talked about how he met Steve Jobs and how he escaped the reality distortion field

if you know anything about Steve Jobs and said no to him.

We talk about how he leads the table group and what's really hard for him in leadership at home.
