Well hey everybody and welcome to episode 213 of the podcast my name is

Carrie Newhoff and I hope our time together today helps you lead like never

before well if you've been with us this week you know this is episode number three

because it's a really big week around here.

It is launch week for my brand new book,

didn't see it coming.

It's all about overcoming the seven greatest challenges

that no one expects and everyone experiences.

And in the book, we talk about everything from cynicism to burnout, to emptiness, to moral compromise,

all those things that honestly either cap your leadership and often take people out of

leadership long before they're done leading.

And we thought it would be great to sit down with a few leaders and just say,

hey, what did you not see coming in life and leadership?

And so Tuesday and Voss Camp interviewed me yesterday

on our last episode, I sat down backstage with Erwin McManus and he gave a just a it was a powerful conversation

about just some things in his life, his childhood, you know, his leadership that he really didn't see coming and had to overcome.

And so today I am sitting down with Levi and Jenny Lusco. A lot of you know them. They are the
