Right, here is the statement by AEW, any chance this is a work, that's a good one. Here's the statement from AEW. All elite wrestling has terminated the wrestler and employment agreements between Philip Brooks, CM Punk, and AEW with cause effective immediately. The termination was confirmed today by Tony Khan CEO General Manager and Head of Creative of AEW.

The termination follows a week-long internal investigation of an instant occurring backstage at AEW all in on London on Sunday, August 27th following the investigation, the AEW discipline committee has the later convened with outside legal counsel before making a unanimous recommendation to Khan the CM Punk be terminated with cause.

Khan offered the following statements, Phil played an important role within AEW, and I thank him for his contributions. The termination of the AEW contracts with cause is ultimately my decision of mine alone. Of course, I wish I didn't have to share this news, which may have come as a disappointment to many of our fans.

Nevertheless, I'm making the decision in the best interests of the many amazing people who make AEW possible every week, our talent staff, venue operators, and many others whose efforts are unsung but essential to bringing our fans great shows on television and at Iran's stadiums throughout.

There was a really interesting bit from Dave Meltzer on this and she's going to bring up because Dave Bixenspan collated this all together, which I thought was quite interesting.

So Dave Meltzer tweeted the results of the investigation of the incident last Sunday led to this the non wrestler eyewitness report in the current issue of the observer is probably the best description as to the what and the why.

So what is that eyewitness statement you might be asking well here is what was written in the observer another version and this would be a neutral source who was not a wrestler but was there and witnessed it and his version was the right after Perry came to the back punk when knows to knows with him aggressively and asked him if he had a problem.

That person said Perry said he was just looking to get heat as a heel punk shoved him hard Perry got in his face and in that version punk sucker punched him and went for a choke.

People immediately broke it up and can was yelling at punk to let him go that person said the once they were separated punk lunged in calm direction but a number of people got in his way while punk was yelling I quit.

One has been knocked down during all of this Joe was very upset and went to calm punk down now someone in Dave's mentions said that this eyewitness and I don't want these people like if you're one of these people I I appreciate you tuning in.

But I don't think we want to be going down these sorts of frames of reference are these terms because this person said quote you mean the eyewitness friend of the cucks helping push the agenda.

Honestly come on grow up but Dave replied to that to say actually he was more friends with fill believe it or not so there you go.

Apparently that eyewitness account was kind of key to this investigation as night in this account to this and was you know what Dave said there was a neutral person because what we have seen in the the week since all in is that is very much he said she said.

One side is very much pro punk in the other side is anti punk if you're pro punk the whole world is against him people trying to make him out to be the villain he's actually the hero of this story and he's always doing nothing wrong but it's painted to be the villain but the anti punk side of things are like punks are problem and every time he does things it makes things worse so.

It kind of felt that you were either team punk or you were team not punk whichever way that looks like.

And you know from what Dave has said there that I witness account was neither team punk nor team anti punk but was more friendly with punk than he was the elite and it is a trap or sponges pointed out just then I'd imagine the Wembley CT TV probably helped because.

Yeah like it came out in the week that like so brawl out was an interesting one because brawl out.

The only people who witnessed it with the people that were in the fight and the people that broke up the fight.
