Welcome to another episode of the Week in Crime and Policing with Mayo and Mesao.

My name is Mark DeMayo.

This is my partner, Angel Masonette, and we are both retired NYPD detectives.

And we'll be discussing, breaking down and trying to find the human and funny side of the crime stories that have made

headline news this past week. But before we do that, I want to check in with Angel and see how

his last week you weren't with us because you had an engagement. I saw that you went to,

I think you have a relative of something that just graduated from a police academy?

Yeah, so my future daughter-in-law's brother was sworn into a police apartment up here in Orange County, New York.

So I went over to show some support because he's a real good kid.

And I've mentored him a little bit.

And so I went to show some some support and I was there for his

swearing in ceremony so it was good stuff all right I'm gonna be honest with you

you lost me at your brother-in-law sister-in-law's third cousin who is this kid to

you my future daughter why did you miss the show wait who is this kid to you so this is

the kid who just found some random graduation and went over there.

He's actually also my emergency plumber because he works for a HVAC company.

Oh, okay, okay.

So I have to.

So every time I have an issue opening my pool house, right, first world problems, I have a pool house and photos of the unit don't know. Every time I have an issue opening the pool house because there's a fucking something wrong with a pipe, he comes and he rescues me.

So he's a good kid.

I love him.
