and yet the Holy Spirit is symbolized throughout Scripture in many ways. In this study, seeing the

Clothing has become quite the industry in our world today.

You'll remember that it was the Lord himself who made the first clothes.

Adam and Eve trying to cover their nakedness,

sewing fig leaves together, trying to make aprons.

And it was the Creator God in his mercy and in his grace that took the

skins of an innocent animal and clothed Adam and Eve so from the very beginning once man had fallen

in the garden the Lord intended that man be clothed and might I use an expression from the ministry of our Lord Jesus, clothed

and in his right mind? And we need more of that, don't we? But today, I want to show you that the

Holy Spirit is the Lord's clothing for the believer. Spiritally speaking, the Lord clothes the believer

with all of the resources and beauty and fruit of the Holy Spirit of God.

Let's begin with a verse today in Luke chapter number 24.

When the Lord Jesus was about to leave his disciples, he said something fascinating to them.

In Luke 24 and verse number 49, he said,

And behold, I send the promise of my father upon you, but tear ye in the city of Jerusalem

until you be endued with power from on high. So someone is referred to here as the promise and the power.

Well, we know, of course, the promise was the promise of the coming of the Holy Spirit on

the day of Pentecost.
