Today, beginning at verse 6, I want us to look at what the disciples thought when they heard

this promise of the baptism with the Holy Spirit and then how Jesus

slightly corrected them and what the implications of this correction are for us. Here's their response in verse six after he promises that in a few days

they're going to be baptized with the Holy Spirit they say Lord does that mean that you will at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?

Now why did they ask that? That was a very good question. This was not a foolish

question because they knew their old testament. They knew their old
