Welcome to closing bell. I'm Scott Wobner, live from Post 9 here at the New York Stock Exchange.

And this make or break hour begins with the markets, of course, which continue to react to the conflict with Iran.

Take a look at the majors here with 60 to go in regulation.

We started to turn late morning after a negative start, and take a look at that.

We're green across the board. The Russell's leading the way.

Good for nearly 1%, but everything's gone positive. There's been some buying in the banks. That has definitely helped. The mega caps as well. So that's your story as we begin this final stretch. Look at Nvidia, up about 3%. Now crude came off of its highs as well. Yields have been up today, gold's up, Bitcoin's up.

We'll follow all of that, of course,

right into the finish of this trading session.

Hi there.

Scott, that's right.

This was the first time we'd heard from the President live since he authorized the strikes on Friday evening.

The President laid out in the East Room his military objectives here over the coming days and weeks, and he did say that this could be weeks.

The military objectives included the issue of stopping the Iranian missile capacity, ending the Iranian Navy's ability

to stay in the fight, blocking the Iranian nuclear ambitions, and also stopping the Iranian

ability to engage in terrorist activity around the world. The President said that this

military action was necessary because the Iranian government represented ultimately a threat to the United States.

Here's how we put it.

An Iranian regime armed with long-range missiles and nuclear weapons would be an intolerable threat to the Middle East,
