Stocks mostly higher, the doubt, falling 400 points, but the S&P 500 hitting a new all-time

intraday high today on renewed AI optimism, the NASI up 1%.

And the money moving out of the metals today, gold holding up, but big losses for silver

and especially platinum, more in the market straight ahead.

On our radar at the close, some big earnings reports do out.

Seagate technology, part of the red-hot storage sector, plus Texas Instruments and F5 as well.

And one of the big reports we're watching for tomorrow, Tesla.

Stock is up only 8% over the past year, plus a pair of stocks that aren't AI but are benefiting from the AI boom, Corning.

Hey, Melissa, well, the rotation into tech continuing the fifth consecutive day of gains for the NASDAQ as investors count down to big tech earnings.

What's interesting about today is the rally was led by the less talked about AI winners,

like Cloudflare, seen as one of the beneficiaries of Anthropic Cloud,

as developers increasingly lean on Cloudflare's security tools. That the beneficiaries of Anthropic Cloud as developers increasingly

run for Corrieve following its deal with Invidio, which analysts at DA Davidson say provides

more guarantees to Corrieve's underlying business. That stock is up more than 50% so far in January.

Taking a look at some of the other stocks on the move, semiconductor and storage names continue their upward trajectory led by Micron, hitting a new high today following news of a $24 billion memory chipmaking plant.

That's easing shortage concerns for now. Still questions around the timeline and how quickly it can bring that project to market, but strong gains so far this year. Less enthusiasm for healthcare, following disappointing results from United Healthcare. See names like Humana and CVS Health also down today. Melissa and Mike. All right, Seema, thanks. Seema Modi. Seema was highlighting some of the big moves, but it really felt like a wait and see. There's a wait and see about a lot of things for tomorrow, Mike.

Completely, yeah. So kind of gentle volumes. It looks like we got a marginal new closing high in the S&P 500. I mean, not by a lot. This is not the most emphatic move. So all-time highs, they're bullish. It's actually, you know, a positive when the market continues to make a high.

I mean, it's just hard to argue with it.
