I'm Mike Santoli. Melissa Lee is off today.

Stocks falling across the board today, Some old familiar worries cropping up,

including tensions with Iran, concerns about the consumer and about the private credit market.

Big losses for stocks linked to that asset class today. We'll have more on that and everything

moving to markets coming up, including the moves in oil and in bonds, plus a couple of names

reporting after the bell. We have our eyes on, including Dropbox. But let's begin with Christina Parts for us here at the NASDAQ, wrapping the market action force. Christina. Well, Mike, big tagging the NASDAQ, Apple, and Vita Microsoft among the names closing in the red. But year-to-date, if we zoom out, the rest of the S&P 500 is actually outperforming the Mag 7.

Just look at the year to date returns on the defiance large cap X mag7 ETF. That's a mouthful, but it's XMAG. You can see on your screen up almost 3%. It's not just mega caps, though. Chip names like Micron, Lamb Research, also closing lower today. but one outlier, AMD, you can see on your screen,

closing over 1.5% higher. The information reporting the company is backing a $300 million

loan for cloud startup Crusoe to build out a U.S. Data Center with AMD's latest AI chips.

I reached out for comment, haven't heard back yet. In the retail world, Walmart closed in the red, down about one and almost a little bit

less than one and a half percent despite a brief midday stint in the green as investors bet that

its guidance was just two conservatives. Wayfair also dropped lower down about 14 percent after a

softer outlook and warnings that margins could thin as it cuts prices to win market share.

You had vaccine makers, Moderna and Novavax closing higher today after the CDC reportedly postponed its vaccine advisory meeting later this month.

You can see both closing at least 6% higher.

And then Omnicon led the S&P 500 jumping after a surge in Q4 earnings following its interpublic merger and a new $5 billion share buyback, Mike.
